An independent production and distribution company needed to develop its five-year growth strategy. We analysed five years of granular transaction data to give us a detailed understanding of how the sources of profitability had evolved over time. We assessed the changing landscape of the production market and offered recommendations for how the client could adapt its existing content portfolio, its investment and distribution strategy to maintain and improve its market position. Our work allowed the production company to focus its investment much more tightly on programming that will yield the highest return and to identify and target customer segments which will sustain the business through the rapid changes of the OTT era.
