Creative Industries

The UK’s Creative Industries generate almost £90bn a year net to the UK’s GDP (2016) and accounts for some 3m jobs.  Redshift’s Founder, Janice Hughes, sat on the first Creative Industries Board with Lord Puttnam, Paul Smith and Richard Branson and brought together the first coherent statistical analysis of just how large this vast sector was and how fast it was growing in value added revenues to the UK economy and exports and jobs throughout the UK.  The nine sectors included in the Creative Industries are as follows: –
