The UK Television Landscape Report for BARB

Redshift has undertaken a multi-year rolling data analysis project involving the production of a quarterly UK Television Landscape Report for BARB. The Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board (BARB) are responsible for delivering the official viewing figures for UK television audiences, commissioning research companies Ipsos MORI, Kantar Media and RSMB to collect data that represent the viewing behaviour of the UK’s 26 million TV households.

The report is based on BARB’s annual Establishment Survey data, offering insight into the changing customer viewing and spending behaviours. Redshift is responsible for identifying trends and analyses to support industry commentary, covering topics such as Subscription VOD, access to Pay-TV services, and how different homes across the UK are increasingly connecting their TV sets to the internet in order to consume video services
